Privacy Policy

1. Who operates the Service

Follwise is operated by the entity providing the Service at follwise.com. For privacy requests, contact us at support@follwise.com.

2. What the Service does

The Service provides browser-based tooling that enables you to export lists (such as followers or following) from Instagram using your own authenticated browser session. All extraction is executed locally in your browser via the Chrome extension while you are logged into instagram.com. We do not receive your Instagram credentials, session cookies, or exported Instagram data.

3. Information we collect

Account information: email address, optional name, and password hash if you register with email; OAuth profile data if you sign in with Google.

Billing: if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and plan status; we do not store full card numbers.

Export history (optional): if you are signed in, we may store metadata about exports (username, type, counts, timestamp) and row data you choose to save to history, subject to limits described in the app.

Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operation of the website.

Advertising cookies: we load a Google Ads conversion tag. Ad storage and personalization stay off until you accept optional cookies. If you accept, we may send a hashed email to Google on purchase (enhanced conversions). You can change or withdraw this in Cookie settings in the footer.

4. Information we do not collect from Instagram

We do not operate Instagram's servers and do not ask you to send us your Instagram credentials. Session cookies used to access Instagram remain in your browser as part of your normal Instagram login. Instagram data retrieved during an export is processed entirely in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save it to your history.

5. How we use information

To provide login, subscription management, export history, and customer support.

To enforce our Terms of Service and protect the Service from abuse.

To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

With your consent, to measure advertising conversions.

6. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR applies, we process account and billing data based on contract performance and legitimate interests (operating and securing the Service). Optional advertising cookies and hashed conversion emails are processed only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie settings. You can access, download, and erase your account data in the dashboard (Download my data / Delete account). You can update your card or cancel a paid subscription in the dashboard via the Stripe billing portal. You may also contact support@follwise.com. You may have rights to rectify, restrict, or object, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Sharing

We use processors such as hosting providers and Stripe for payments. With your cookie consent we also use Google Ads for conversion measurement. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

8. Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the dashboard at any time; that removes your Follwise account, sessions, and saved export history. After deletion we may keep billing records as required by tax law. We do not delete the Stripe customer object used for those records. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the Service if you are under that age.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the revised version with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
